What to have ready
It speeds things up if you can say when the water shows up (during storms, or on its own), whether the walls are block or poured concrete, and whether you have a sump and how often it runs. Photos help enormously — a wide shot of the wall plus a close-up with something for scale beside the crack. None of it is required; we measure everything on site regardless.
If something is actively moving
A wall visibly bowing, a horizontal crack that opened suddenly, shearing where the wall meets the sill or the floor, or a floor that dropped noticeably in a short time deserves a phone call rather than a form.
